Welcome to....
FULLERTON COMMUNITY NURSERY SCHOOL
2050 Youth Way,
Fullerton, CA 92835
Children enjoy a variety of blocks and manipulative toys.

Snack parents are encouraged to bring in cooking
projects. Mini pizzas, as shown, are a big hit.
Daily art projects encourage creative expression
and small muscle development.
Outdoor play is enhanced by two large tree houses, sand areas, swings,
two playhouses, climbers, and a bike yard. Many children choose to wear
super-hero capes when playing outside.
Fullerton Community Nursery School was founded in 1950. It is
accredited by the National Association of the Education on Young
Children and licensed by Social Services. Classes are offered on
a two-day (Monday, Tuesday) or a three-day (Wednesday, Thursday,
Friday) basis. Classes run from 9 am to noon. Extended days with
a 2 PM pick up are offered several times per month. All children
between 2 1/2 years (and potty trained) and 5 are welcome.
The teaching staff at Fullerton Community Nursery School has 40 years
teaching experience between them. All teachers have education in child
development. Two of them hold bachelor's degrees in Child Development
and the director has her masters in Early Childhood Education.
All three instructors have received teacher or teacher/director
awards from the Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools.
Enrichment activities throughout the year include field trips to the
pumpkin patch, post office, museum, fire station, etc.
Other special events are Back-to-School Night, the Halloween Parade,
the Fall Feast, the Cookie Exchange, Picture Day, Valentine's Day
Parties, the Daddy & Me Breakfast, the Mother's Day Tea, and the
End-of-the-Year Train Trip to the Beach.
Parent participation has been the cornerstone to Fullerton Community
Nursery School's success for the last 49 years. It is the school's
philosophy that children benefit from the involvement of caring parents
in daily classroom activities and in the running of the school.
With both teacher and parents in the classroom, the children are well
supervised and nurtured. Parent duties include classroom assistance
(1-2 times per month), housekeeping (once a year), maintenance
(once a year), five parent education/school business meetings, and
a Scrip requirement. A buy-out fee is available for housekeeping,
maintenance and Scrip.
